Who Are Ya!: Eagle FC (USL W & USL L2)

March 30, 2026 by Joshua Duder

Eagle FC is a legacy community club which dates back to 1975 and has competed at multiple levels of the game - currently they have adult teams in both USL W League as well as USL League Two; additionally they have various youth and development squads. With amateur adult leagues kicking off in just over a month, we wanted to get to know a club we’d admired from afar for quite a while.

Tell us the origin story of Eagle FC - when was the club founded? By whom and what was its mission?
Eagle FC has been a cornerstone of Central Pennsylvania soccer since 1976, originally founded as H.M.M.S. From the beginning, our mission has been to provide a player-centric soccer experience—developing intelligent, skillful players while fostering a lifelong love of the game. Today, Eagle FC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a registered member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA), United States Youth Soccer (USYS), and US Club Soccer.

Our programs span all levels of play, from recreational leagues and TOPSoccer to highly competitive travel teams, including pre-professional pathways in USL League Two and the USL W League. In addition, Eagle FC offers a dedicated Homeschool Program, providing flexible, high-level training opportunities during the day for student-athletes seeking a more personalized development pathway. This program reflects our commitment to meeting players where they are and creating accessible, innovative environments for growth.

Boys’ teams from U13 to U19 compete in the ECNL Regional League, while our Eagle FC Women and Men provide a bridge to collegiate and professional soccer. Central to all of our programming are our Core Values—Commitment, Respect, Leadership, Fun, and Character—which guide players, coaches, and staff both on and off the field.

Some highlights of Eagle FC’s history and programs include:

  • Tradition of Success: Since 1976, players have progressed from grassroots programs to competitive teams, collegiate programs, and professional ranks.

  • Experienced Coaching: Our staff includes former collegiate and professional players with coaching licenses and decades of experience.

  • Innovative Youth Development: The U6-U9 Futures program mirrors international small-sided models and has been developing young players in a kid-first, professional environment since 2020.

  • Recreation & Inclusion: The U10-U19 recreation program is Central PA’s largest, offering hundreds of players affordable local opportunities, while TOPSoccer provides athletes with special needs a pathway to build skills, confidence, and self-esteem.

  • Quality Over Quantity: We maintain appropriately sized programs and facilities to ensure all players have access to high-quality indoor and outdoor training.

  • Pathway to the Pros: Our pre-professional teams in USL Two and USL W continue to develop elite talent, bridging the gap between youth, college, and professional soccer.

Eagle FC is proud to be an inclusive club where diversity strengthens our community. From U6 to the USL level, all players have a clear pathway to grow, compete, and thrive in a supportive, challenging, and fun environment.

Mission: Eagle FC passionately develops players, educates in sport and life and provides leadership through our core values.

Vision: Eagle FC aspires to be the most inclusive and comprehensive soccer club in the region, instilling a love of the game that enables all to enjoy and pursue life goals.

Tell us about your badge and colors – how does it connect to the community?
Our badge and colors are a direct reflection of who we are as a club and the community we represent. The black and red symbolize strength, resilience, and passion—qualities that define both our players and the area we call home. At the center of the badge, the eagle represents pride, honor, and determination, values that have been part of our identity since the club was founded in 1976. It’s a symbol that resonates deeply within our community—hard-working, driven, and united.

More importantly, the badge aligns closely with our core values. The structure and symbolism reflect our commitment to development, respect for everyone involved in the game, and leadership that inspires excellence. The bold, confident design mirrors the character we expect from our players—integrity, accountability, and courage—while the energy of the colors reflects the joy and passion we bring to the game every day.

While the badge has seen subtle refinements over time to modernize its look, its essence has remained consistent. That consistency is intentional—it reinforces our identity and connection to generations of players, families, and supporters. Our badge isn’t just a logo; it’s a representation of our values, our history, and our responsibility to the community we serve.

What league or leagues does your club participate in and why did you choose those to join?
Our club operates across multiple levels of the game, providing a complete pathway for player development from youth through pre-professional competition and ultimately toward the professional level.

At the youth level, our teams compete locally, regionally, and nationally in leagues such as CPYSL, EDP, US Club Soccer, USYS, and ECNL RL. This wide range of platforms allows us to place players in the most appropriate and competitive environments for their development.

On the men’s side, we compete in USL League Two, which offers a high-level summer platform for collegiate and aspiring professional players.

For our women’s program, we compete in the USL W League. We made the decision to join the USL W League to complete our player pathway and create a meaningful opportunity for our alumnae and top talent in the Central Pennsylvania region to continue competing at a high level. Just as importantly, it serves as a critical bridge in the pathway to the professional game, giving players consistent exposure, high-level competition, and a platform to advance their careers.

Our recent success has helped us attract top talent not only from Pennsylvania, but from across the country and internationally. Over the past three seasons, our roster has included players from leading collegiate programs such as Penn State, Wake Forest, Kentucky, UCF, West Virginia, Clemson, Memphis and more!. Additionally, we’ve welcomed players with experience in top international academies, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Real Madrid. During that same period, 12 of our players have gone on to sign professional contracts, which speaks to the strength of our environment and our commitment to player progression.

This combination of strong league platforms, high-level player pools, and proven advancement outcomes allows us to maintain a competitive environment while staying true to our mission of developing players and providing a clear, structured path to the professional level.

Many clubs choose to sell hats, scarves or replica kits - how does your club keep the lights on and cover its league costs? How can interested people support you?
Eagle FC keeps the lights on and covers league costs through a mix of community-driven initiatives. Sponsorships from local businesses form the backbone of our support, helping fund operations while strengthening local partnerships. Ticket sales are also key, and we make every matchday an experience—complete with themed nights, fan activities, and food trucks so supporters can enjoy great eats while cheering on our teams. This season, we’ll also be offering fan gear at home matches!

Camps and clinics featuring our players provide another avenue of support, giving young athletes the chance to learn from high-level talent while helping sustain the club.

Anyone interested in supporting Eagle FC can reach out directly to our Director of Operations, Andrew Otterson, at aotterson@eagle-fc.com, or our Club President, Christina Loss, at chodgson@eagle-fc.com. Donations can also be made at https://eagle-fc.byga.net/f/rqzcgxamxm

The best way to support the club is simple: come to our matches, enjoy the atmosphere, grab some food from the trucks, and be part of the vibrant community we’re building together.

How did you finish last year? What are the goals for your next season?
Eagle FC Women are coming off another successful USL W League season and are gearing up for an ambitious 2026 campaign.

In 2025, Eagle FC Women finished with a 7-1-2 record, securing their third consecutive USL W Mid-Atlantic Division Championship. The team advanced to the USL W League Playoffs, where they fell 2-1 to the NC Courage in the Round of 16. Over the past three seasons, the club has compiled an impressive 28-4-2 regular season record, captured three Mid-Atlantic Division titles (2023, 2024, 2025), reached the 2023 National Semi-Finals (Final Four), and seen 12 players sign professional contracts.

Looking ahead to 2026, Eagle FC Women aim to:

  • Capture a fourth consecutive USL W Mid-Atlantic Division title

  • Make a deep playoff run and return to the Final Four

  • Complete the pathway for players eligible to go professional

“Each season, our focus is on building a competitive, player-centric environment that prepares our athletes for the upcoming fall collegiate season and the professional level.,” said Coach Ngo “Our goal for 2026 is to maintain our standards and culture while challenging players every day and prepare them for the highest levels of the game.”

How do you participate in, or give back to your community?
Community is at the heart of everything we do as a club. As a player pathway organization, our connection to the next generation is especially meaningful. Our USL W League players serve as role models for our youth athletes, particularly our young girls who aspire to play at a high level.

When they’re not competing, our players are actively involved throughout the club—coaching at training sessions, attending youth matches, and supporting from the sidelines. They also play a key role in leading our camps and clinics, where they have the opportunity to mentor, teach, and build lasting connections with young players in a more personal setting.

That visibility and engagement help inspire confidence, strengthen our community, and reinforce what’s possible for our players both on and off the field. Giving back isn’t something we schedule—it’s part of who we are.

If there were one or two teams, within a 100 miles of you, to play a friendly against – who would you play and why?
Within the USL W League’s Mid-Atlantic Division, our biggest rival is Lancaster Inferno. Both clubs have a strong history of success at the pre-professional level and consistently feature talented rosters. Whenever we step on the field against each other, there’s an added level of intensity and energy that makes it a great matchup for players and fans alike.

Another exciting opponent would be Keystone FC Women of the WPSL. With both clubs located on the same side of the river and sharing a rich history of success at the youth level, it would be a true “Battle of the Burg.” It’s the kind of matchup that would showcase the talent across Central Pennsylvania and bring the local soccer community together.
