The Top 25 Tops of 2025: Part Two (14 to Number 1)
Yesterday, we released the first half of the Top 25 Tops of 2025, where we explained our ranking process - but in a nutshell, seven panelists were given 50 shirts from last year to look at and rank them from 50 down to number one. We took their independent rankings and found the average score to create our own Top Tops list. We removed numbers 26 to 50 and narrowed it down to 25 (it will be 26 kits in 2026, etc.)
From left to right: Little Rock Rangers, Napa Valley 1839 FC, River Light FC, and NY Empire FC

Flower City 1872 make it into the Top Tops list for 2025 with their Susan B Anthony homage made by Hummel. It finishes 14th with an average ranking of 16.22 - its sold out on their webstore but there are a few great Flower City Union shirts still available.
Pittsburgh Riveters come in at number 12 with their Rosie the Riveter homage, made by Charly USA. It had an average ranking of 15.66 and is still available from the team website, HERE
When Olive & York and Des Moines Menace released this shirt early last Spring, we were all shocked! Was it the bright colors, collar, and updated-retro-badge or was it seeing Benny Feilhaber and Sacha Kljestan, et all, rocking them in an actual match? Either way, this collab ended up at number 11 with an average ranking of 15.22
Oakland Roots, who won the Top Top of 2024, released this third kit with Charly late in the season and its all sold out. The Bay Waters shirt was a collaboration with local artist Muzae Sesay and starts out Top 10 Countdown with an average score of 15.11
Back to back years making the final countdown for Richmond Ivy - and once again, they partnered with Hummel to make a gorgeous shirt. This one finished at number 9 and had an average rank of 14.55
This is the first appearance for both Deportivo Rose City and their kit maker, Dieceseis, founded by former pro Miguel Ponce. This beauty finished 8th with an average score of 13.77
Every year Forward Madison releases one, two or even three shirts you can’t live without - this year’s was the Flock Kit, which is so nice it received two number 1 votes, from Danielle Gawronski and Brett Mullenix. FMFC have teamed up with Hummel for years to make these gems and this one was one of their best, finished in 7th with an average rank of 13.44
Hummel make another appearance in the Top Tops list and newcomers AV Alta FC make their first. Their Spirit of the Valley 3rd Shirt come in with an average rank of 12.44 and slides in at number 6.
Oakland Soul come in at number 5 with their Butterfly Effect shirt, made by Charly USA. It finished with an average ranking of 12 and is still available from their webstore!
Birmingham Legion and their collaboration with Hummel have also made it back-to-back into the Top Tops list - this year’s “Stars Fell” is unique and beautifully done, earning a 1st place vote from Kaylor Hodges and finishing 4th with an average rank of 11.55
Inaria and Salmon Bay teamed up for two beautiful shirts in their inaugural season - while we’d love to celebrate both, the “Discovery” shirt takes the number three spot with an average rank of 8.77 and while it didn’t earn any number 1 votes, all the panelists, except one, ranked it in their Top 25.
Minnesota Aurora’s “Brighter Together” kit was one of three gems by Hummel which could have finished in the Top 25 - however, this was the only one nominated! It finished with an average vote of 8.44 and all but one panelist had it in their Top 25.
Portland Hearts of Pine did a lot of things right in year one; broke all kinds of attendance records, challenged for the league title right out of the gates, and dropped some ridiculous shirts with Hummel along the way. Their “Blaze” kit was fun, their “Bandit” kit was fire, and their Woods & Water Kit (announced over a year ago) was the most anticipated shirt of the year. It did not let us down!
This instant classic earned three first place votes from Chris Walker, Josh Duder, and Dan Vaughn and had a ranking of 8.22 to earn the Top Top of 2025.
Thank you to our seven panelists who took the time to review each shirt and rank all 50 of them and thank you to the clubs and kit manufacturers who make loving soccer so fun!
Congratulations to Portland Hearts of Pine for having the Top Top of 2025!
