Under the Lights: Oakland Soul (USL W)

February 06, 2023 by Joshua Duder

“Community members spoke of creating a brand that thrived on unity through the power of unique individuals. Powerful, strong, beautiful, independent, resilient were all words used to describe what the community wanted this team to represent. This led to the creation of the crest. The colors are aligned with the family of identities we have at this club, with Oakland Roots and Project 51O and felt like an organic fit with the family of logos we already have. “

Under the Lights: Port City FC (UPSL)

January 30, 2023 by Joshua Duder

“During our struggles early in the season we still took the 2nd place and 3rd place teams to close matches with only one goal differences in both. With only 4 matches left in the season, we really hit our stride with 3 wins in those last 4. The loss being from the conference champion and the only perfect winning record team in the UPSL, the SC United Heat from Colombia, in which we only lost the match 1-0, having gained nothing but respect from them.”

Bay Cities FC - En Los Focos (NISA)

August 30, 2021 by Joshua Duder

“En mi opinión, el principal diferenciador es definir de qué se tratará su club de fútbol y cómo se relaciona con su comunidad. Si buscas ser poco sincero, tu comunidad se dará cuenta rápidamente y no lo apoyarán. Tu club tiene que soportar más de 11 jugadores en el campo con una pelota.”

Under the Lights: San Francisco City FC (USL League 2)

September 21, 2020 by Joshua Duder

“The club was founded in 2001 to play in the San Francisco Soccer Football League. In 2014, a group of local soccer fans got together to discuss supporter-ownership. One of those fans had played for SF City FC and so we approached the club’s founders about the possibility of converting the club into a supporter-owned one.”
